1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to information handled by StowSquirrel Rentals LLC (“StowSquirrel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through this website and the related reservation, agreement, payment, delivery, pickup, and customer-support workflow.

StowSquirrel Rentals LLC is a Pennsylvania limited liability company located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This Policy does not govern the independent practices of third-party websites or services that have their own privacy policies.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, email address, and mobile phone number;
  • delivery and pickup addresses;
  • requested delivery, move, and pickup dates;
  • package, bin, dolly, add-on, and rental-length selections;
  • notes and operational details you choose to provide, such as access instructions, stairs, elevators, gate codes, or timing considerations;
  • electronic-agreement information, including the order details presented for signature, signature, date, and signing status;
  • support emails, call information, messages, scheduling updates, complaints, and other communications; and
  • information necessary to address missing, damaged, unusually dirty, unsafe, or unreturned equipment.

Transaction and payment-related records

We may receive and store transaction details from our payment processor, such as payment and refund amounts, dates, statuses, processor transaction identifiers, customer and saved-payment-method identifiers, and a limited payment-method description such as card brand and last four digits. We do not receive or store your full card number or card security code.

Information generated during the request

We generate a unique submission identifier and order identifier. We also generate standardized addresses, route mileage, service-area eligibility, distance-fee results, estimated pickup dates, estimated and final pricing, inventory decisions, order statuses, communication logs, agreement/payment statuses, delivery and pickup records, and operational notes.

Technical and analytics information

When you access the website, our hosting and security providers may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and error or security logs. StowSquirrel uses this information as reasonably necessary to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and maintain the website and request process.

If you allow optional analytics, Google Analytics also processes an anonymous browser identifier and information about page views, traffic source, device and browser category, approximate region, active engagement time, reservation-form progress, successful request submission, and later rental milestones described below. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, delivery or pickup address, form notes, or precise route information to Google Analytics.

3. How StowSquirrel uses information

StowSquirrel uses personal information only for rental-related operational, administrative, security, and legal purposes, including to:

  • receive, validate, review, approve, decline, or modify a reservation request;
  • verify addresses, calculate routes and fees, and determine service-area eligibility;
  • check inventory and route availability;
  • prepare and manage Order Confirmations and Rental Agreements;
  • collect deposits, automatically collect authorized remaining balances, issue payment links, process refunds, prevent fraud, and maintain accounting records;
  • schedule and complete delivery, pickup, return inspection, cleaning, and equipment reconciliation;
  • send request acknowledgments, action-required messages, confirmations, reminders, receipts, pickup instructions, support responses, and other transaction-related communications;
  • resolve questions, disputes, payment failures, chargebacks, damage/loss issues, and customer-service matters;
  • protect customers, equipment, systems, and the business from fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity; and
  • if you allow analytics, understand website use, traffic sources, form completion, reservation conversion, and aggregate rental outcomes so we can improve the website and request process; and
  • comply with accounting, tax, insurance, contractual, and other legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or send promotional marketing emails or texts.

4. When information may be disclosed

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including:

  • Service providers: vendors that provide hosting, cloud storage, email, address validation, routing, electronic signatures, payment processing, fraud prevention, accounting, security, and similar operational services.
  • Professional advisers and insurers: accountants, attorneys, insurers, financial institutions, and other advisers when reasonably necessary.
  • Legal and safety purposes: courts, government agencies, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, customers, or systems.
  • Business transactions: a prospective or actual buyer, successor, lender, or adviser involved in a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of some or all of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal protections.
  • At your direction: another person or organization when you direct or authorize us to share the information.

We do not disclose customer information to unrelated parties for their own direct marketing.

5. Our principal technology providers

Our workflow currently uses the following providers:

  • Netlify hosts the website and processes website requests and technical logs. Review Netlify’s Privacy Statement.
  • Google provides address validation, route calculations, Google Workspace, Sheets, Drive, Apps Script, email services, and—when you allow it—Google Analytics. Review Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Jotform hosts and processes the electronic Rental Agreement and signing workflow. Review Jotform’s Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe hosts payment checkout, saves the authorized payment method, processes deposits, remaining-balance charges and refunds, and provides fraud-prevention services. Review Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

These providers may process information on StowSquirrel’s behalf to provide their services. When you interact directly with a provider’s hosted page or service, the provider may also collect and use information for its own lawful purposes under its own terms and privacy policy—for example, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, service improvement, or features you choose to use.

StowSquirrel does not control and is not responsible for a provider’s independent privacy practices, security, content, or service availability. You should review the applicable provider policy before submitting information. This statement does not limit any responsibility or consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The website uses essential technical processes and hosting/security logs needed to deliver pages, submit requests, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and maintain security. These processes do not require the optional analytics choice described below.

Google Analytics is optional and is not loaded unless you select “Allow analytics.” If allowed, it uses first-party cookies and an anonymous browser identifier to measure visits, returning visits, traffic sources, pages viewed, active engagement time, form progress, successful reservation requests, and aggregate conversion outcomes.

When an analytics-enabled visitor submits a reservation request, the anonymous Analytics identifier may be stored with the order. Our server-side automation can then report non-identifying milestones—such as agreement signed, deposit paid, balance paid, rental completed, cancelled, or refunded—to Google Analytics. This lets us understand whether an anonymous website visit eventually resulted in a rental. Customer names, contact details, addresses, dates, notes, agreement contents, and payment credentials are not included in those Analytics events.

Your choice is stored in your browser. You can review or change it at any time using . Declining analytics does not affect your ability to view the website or submit a reservation request. Browser privacy tools, blocking software, or clearing site data may also affect Analytics.

StowSquirrel does not currently use advertising pixels, targeted advertising cookies, or Analytics advertising personalization, and does not use Analytics to build profiles for advertising across unrelated websites. Third-party services you visit—such as Jotform or Stripe—may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

7. Payment information

No card or bank-account information is collected through the StowSquirrel reservation-request form. Payment details are entered directly into Stripe’s hosted checkout. Stripe—not StowSquirrel—collects and processes the full payment credentials.

When you pay the deposit, Stripe may save the payment method for the authorized remaining-balance charge described in the Rental Agreement and checkout disclosures. StowSquirrel receives limited records needed to reconcile the transaction and identify the saved payment method, but does not receive or store the full card number or security code.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to review and manage requests, perform rentals, provide support, maintain financial and operational records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and insurance obligations.

Retention periods vary by record type and circumstances. Completed, cancelled, declined, and refunded order records may be retained as part of our business, financial, agreement, communication, and audit history. Service providers may retain information under their own contracts, retention schedules, backup practices, or legal obligations.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, or restrict it, subject to technical limitations, backups, legal holds, and applicable law.

9. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain. These measures include limiting access, using authenticated cloud services, keeping payment credentials out of the Operations Tracker and email, and using secure hosted checkout for payments.

No website, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you should avoid placing highly sensitive or unnecessary information in the optional notes field or ordinary email.

If a security incident affects information for which notice is legally required, we will provide notifications consistent with applicable law.

10. Access, correction, and deletion requests

You may contact us to:

  • ask what personal information we maintain about you;
  • correct inaccurate contact, address, scheduling, or order information;
  • request deletion of information that is no longer needed; or
  • ask a question about this Policy or our handling of information.

We may need to verify your identity before acting. We may deny or limit a request when retention or processing is reasonably necessary to fulfill a rental, maintain transaction and tax records, protect security, resolve disputes, exercise legal rights, comply with law, or preserve records that cannot reasonably be separated from backups or provider systems.

Because we do not send promotional marketing, there is no marketing list from which to unsubscribe. Transaction-related communications may continue while needed to manage a request, rental, payment, pickup, dispute, or legally required notice.

You may allow, decline, or later change optional Google Analytics through . This choice applies to the browser and device where it is made.

11. Adults only

The website and rental service are intended for adults who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly accept reservation requests from children. If you believe a minor submitted personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as our services, systems, vendors, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy on this page and update the effective date. If a change materially expands how we use previously collected information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
